Liz Ordway, who is 17 and I will be a freshman at San Francisco State University studying Photography and Business in the fall. She specializes in making surrealistic art that expresses her imagination by using Photoshop tools that she's acquired throughout the past five years. The work she generates is often a combination of things that she wishes to see and the truth of her surroundings. Each of her pieces mimics the nature of the ying and yang; without good there is no evil, without beauty there is no grotesque. She uses components, such as life and death, to question what is real and what we choose to define as reality. She also enjoys taking portraits with a conceptual emphasis that adds depth to an average photograph.
