Niki Aguirre is a 29 year old fine art and conceptual portrait photographer currently living in the Washington
DC area. Most of her work consists of surrealist, imaginative imagery that carries a feeling of adventure, and fairytale nature.
"First and foremost I'm in love with this world and it's creator. Every detail of life is so incredible - nature and the human spirit intertwined. I desire a heartbeat in every one of my creations. I am intrigued by a person's story, purpose and their relationship with their environment and most importantly their curiosity and relationship with the unknown. I envision their worlds in vibrant color and on occasion haunting monochrome that evokes a sense of nostalgia."
"I want my work to focus on the human emotional experiments that occur in our everyday lives. To focus on subjects that may go unseen if time is not created, frozen, analyzed and appreciated. To create a moment that develops in my mind in which I never want to let go. A fictional world based on emotional realities and truths amplified. I've always been quite expressive and peculiar in the eyes of most, but I have learned to embrace those oddities and use them in my artistic expression. Being quite eclectic, my tastes can range from reserved sophistication to comical. I find my creations as a means to relate to the world and for the world to relate to me. It is my native language that can only be understood by those wishing to explore and be entertained by my vision, my truth, and ultimately my world."
Niki is in love with creative portrait photography. It is definitely her passion and she is currently exploring that area more in depth these days. Having a film background, telling a story through an image is of utmost importance to her.
